Family welfare offices offer intervention and advice to families affected by problems, crises and conflict. These offices also provide mediation services in connection with divorce or relationship breakdown, as well as in child custody disputes. There is no charge for these services.
Family welfare offices operate under the supervision of the County Governor. Each office is inspected at least once every three years.
You can find an overview of family welfare offices on the website of the Directorate for Children, Youth and Family Affairs (Bufdir).
