The office of the county governor distributes
government funds to political parties at municipal and county level. The
system is regulated by the Political Parties Act.
In addition to distributing funds, the office of the
county governor registers local and regional political parties and groups
(including county youth organisations) that have applied for and received
subsidies.
Political parties are encouraged to submit their
applications by 15 January in the year following an
election.
The application should include:

the party’s postal address and telephone number

the name, postal address and telephone number of the
organisation’s chairperson

the party’s organisation registration number, and the
registration number of the main party where applicable
